Built in 1878,the Calhoun Mansion or Williams mansion, located at 16 Meeting Street in Charleston, South Carolina, with 35 rooms covering 24,000 Square feet is the largest singhle family residence in Charleston.
Built in the baronial Italianate Manor House style with 14 foot ceilings and 23 fireplaces it boasts a 75 foot central staircase to a domed ceiling, a music room with a 45 foot glass skylighted ceiling and an entrance hall that is 15 feet high, 14 feet wide and 50 feet long.
