Description
The Heartbreak Hotel's facade looks okay, but it is in need of new owners. Who knew that it was located in Kenansville, Florida off US 441 in Osceola County. I knew that Elvis Presley had Florida connections, but never guessed that this might be it.
Kenansville is located on US 441 just north of another Florida landmark, Yeehaw Junction, shere US 441 and Florida State Road 60 meet.

I'm glad you like it Jenny. Thank you very much for the feature in the group "No Place Like Home."

Very, very cool, Norman! I looked it up and it was built in 1915 (102 years old!). Originally called the Piney Woods Inn, a pastor bought it in 1955 and changed the name because he heard kids calling it that because it was rundown. The song was probably not written with it in mind though. So cool!
Norman Johnson replied:
you found more information about it that I did William. I knew it wasn't the original hotel that the song was written about. Hoyt Axton's mother was one of the authors of the song and I understand it, it was given the name because of the feeling, not the original name of the hotel.
